Kastro / Kastello of Kritinia
One of the best conserved fortresses on Rhodes,
built by the Knights of Saint John in 1309 and restored in
1472.
A tremendous view over the unknown islands which
are just in front of Chalki, don’t miss the
sunset !

The other Rhodes
The island of Rhodes has a tremendous range of
places of interests, for many tourists the old
town is number 1. Although the old town is a
magnificent place to visit, we suggest our
guests to discover also “the other” Rhodes,
starting with the small places around the
Auberge Kalopetri. |

Kamiros Skala
A fisherman’s harbor with a kiosk, snack bar and
several fish restaurants where you can discover
delicious fresh fish and sea food such as : calamari’s,
octopus, sea bream, shrimps, red snapper and the
local Greek ’ mezedes ‘(small appetizers).
From this small harbour, boats are leaving
almost daily to the beautiful island of Chalki
and local busses to Rhodes town.

Embona
Embona, the biggest village of the area, located
at the mount Attaviros and famous for its wines.
Visit one of the wine cellars and taste their
delicious grilled meat and the traditional
museum. |

Kritinia
Typical village located on a hill, with at the
background the mount Attaviros.
Don’t forget to have a look at the small church
Agios Ioannis and at the museum of Kritina just
at the entrance of the village.
Kritinia has some nice coffee shops, restaurants
and a small supermarket.
